This Privacy Notice sets out how we collect, process and use your ‘Personal Data’. It is relevant to anyone who interacts with our website, books onto our events and subscribes to our newsletter. We are committed to protecting your personal information and we explain here how we ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. References in this Privacy Notice to “we”, “our” or “us” are references to Urban Design London. References to “you” and “your” means each natural or legal person who interacts with us, uses our website or the services we provide.

Who we are and what we do:

We are a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 2002 to support London’s built environment professionals create and maintain well-designed, good quality places. Our yearly subscription programmes give people from member organisations (employees or councillors) access to our training events, design review services and other resources such as course materials and guidance documents.  We will provide information about upcoming events and available resources to people from member organisations so they can make best use of their subscription.

Data protection:

We comply with all applicable UK and EU data protection legislation in force in respect of any personal information you submit to us. The personal details you submit to us will only be used for the specified purposes indicated to you and will not be passed onto unauthorised third parties without your explicit consent. You can contact us to amend or remove any information you submit to us, or ask us to remove all of your personal information.

Email correspondence:

We will send people who have either participated at an Urban Design London event and/or is a subscribing member organisation information about upcoming events and resources related to our events by email. We will ask people who attend our events but are not connected to a member organisation to sign up to our newsletter to receive such messages.  If you receive emails from UDL and no longer wish to do so, please let us know using the ‘unsubscribe’ option at the bottom of the email or by contacting us directly at info@urbandesignlondon.

Sharing personal information:

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We don't share your personal information with any third parties unless they are providing services to us under contract or disclosure is permitted by, or required by, law.

Third-party sites:

Our website contains links to sites owned and operated by third parties. They have their own privacy policies, and we urge you to review them before browsing those sites. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of such third-party websites and your use of such websites is at your own risk.

Your privacy is very important to UDL, and we take all necessary measures to ensure your personal information is properly protected and secured. This includes having appropriate technical and organisational arrangements to secure your information. UDL will never send an unsolicited message asking you to provide your password, financial details or other sensitive information by email or through a link.
