Learning outcomes:

•    Understand the key characteristics of good housing design

•    Looking at three levels of development:
1.    Wider - Being able to relate a development to the wider neighbourhood – knitting the development into the wider context
2.    Site - Understanding how parts of a development work together – outside spaces, semi private and private spaces, tenure/mixed use and housing types plus common areas inside buildings
3.    Home - Identifying aspects of good design in the home environment.

•    Examining two case study examples looking at all levels

•    Breakout discussions on all three aspects and learning from key feedback (suggest look at Housing Design awards videos and drawings).
